The mandatory annual contribution that sustains CIML's global mission — keeping your membership active, your credentials recognised, and your professional community thriving.
Guiding Framework
CIML's Annual Subscription is governed by five core principles that ensure fairness, accountability and the continued growth of the institute.
Fees are structured according to membership grade, reflecting access to resources, recognition, and professional services available at each level.
All subscription rates and payment procedures are clearly communicated to members without hidden charges or ambiguity.
Members are expected to pay subscriptions in a timely manner to retain their rights, privileges, and good standing within CIML.
Subscriptions support CPD programmes, events, research, governance, and operational activities that keep CIML globally relevant.
Active subscription is mandatory for voting rights, membership upgrades, and full participation in CIML programmes and initiatives.
CIML Council reviews subscription rates annually to ensure alignment with programme costs, global economic conditions, and sustainability goals.
Subscription Rates
Annual subscription rates are pegged to your membership grade and reviewed periodically by the CIML Council.

How It Works
Renewing your subscription is simple. Follow the steps below to ensure your membership remains active and uninterrupted.
Annual subscription is due at the start of the membership year or calendar year. Members receive an automated reminder 1 month prior to renewal.
Select your preferred payment option — bank transfer, credit/debit card, or the CIML online payment portal. All methods are secure and receipted.
An electronic receipt and payment confirmation is issued immediately. Your membership status is then updated in the CIML Membership Registry.
The CIML Secretariat verifies payments annually. Active subscription unlocks all membership privileges, CPD access, and upgrade eligibility.
Direct wire to CIML's designated account. Bank details provided on request.
Secure card payment via CIML's encrypted payment gateway.
Pay directly via the CIML website member portal with instant confirmation.
Early Payment Incentive: Members who pay before the start of the membership year may qualify for a 5–10% discount on their annual subscription. Contact the Secretariat for details.
Compliance Policy
CIML enforces a tiered compliance policy to ensure all members maintain their subscription obligations and uphold the integrity of membership designations.
| Stage | Status | Action Taken |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Month Overdue | Notice | Reminder notice issued via email to the member's registered address |
| 2 Months Overdue | Suspended Access | Temporary suspension of member portal access and member services |
| 3 Months Overdue | Rights Suspended | Suspension of membership rights, CPD access, and upgrade eligibility |
| 6 Months Overdue | Revoked | Membership revoked. Reactivation requires full outstanding payment plus an administrative fee |
CIML reserves the right to withhold certificates, membership designations, and participation in programmes until subscriptions are cleared. Members in financial hardship may apply for deferment — see waivers section below.
Discounts & Relief
CIML recognises diverse member circumstances and has provisions to ensure the subscription framework remains inclusive and accessible.

Organisations enrolling multiple members may qualify for bulk subscription rates. Contact the CIML Secretariat to discuss corporate membership arrangements.
Distinguished Fellows (HonCIML / DFCIML) are fully and permanently exempt from all subscription fees, recognising their distinguished contribution to the management profession.
Members with verified financial challenges may apply for a temporary subscription deferment or waiver, subject to Council approval. Applications are treated with strict confidentiality.
